Refund Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
Scope
This Refund Policy applies to SynthoDesk subscriptions purchased directly through SynthoCore’s individual-subscription channel (processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record). Corporate and enterprise licensing purchased through Microsoft AppSource is subject to Microsoft’s applicable refund and purchase terms; please refer to Microsoft’s policies or contact your Microsoft representative for those transactions.
Trial-period cancellations — no charge
Each SynthoDesk subscription begins with a 30-day free trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial period, before your subscription converts to a paid plan (the “Conversion Date”). If you cancel before the Conversion Date, your trial ends immediately and you will not be charged. Because no payment has been collected, no refund is required or issued.
To cancel before your trial converts, contact us at info@synthocore.ca or use the cancellation flow in your account portal.
Post-conversion refunds — EU consumers
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of the Conversion Date, as described in our End-User License Agreement. If you exercise that right within the applicable window, we will refund the conversion fee in full, using the same payment method, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice.
After the 14-day withdrawal period has elapsed, no refund is available for the current billing period, except where required by mandatory consumer protection law of your jurisdiction.
Post-conversion refunds — Canadian consumers
If you are a consumer located in Canada, your subscription converts to paid only after you provide affirmative consent at the Conversion Date. If you believe a charge was applied without your affirmative consent, contact us promptly at info@synthocore.ca and we will investigate. Where a charge is confirmed to have been applied in the absence of required consent, we will issue a full refund of that charge.
After the billing period in which affirmative consent was obtained has elapsed, no additional refunds are available for that or prior periods, except where required by applicable provincial consumer protection law.
All other subscriptions
Except as set out above, subscription fees are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid for the current or any prior billing period. Access to the Software continues until the end of the paid period for which you have been charged.
Billing errors and disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at info@synthocore.ca within 30 days of the charge date. Include the email address associated with your subscription and the date of the charge. We will investigate and respond promptly; where an error is confirmed, we will issue an appropriate credit or refund.
How to request a refund
To request a refund to which you are entitled under this policy:
- Email info@synthocore.ca with the subject line “Refund Request.”
- Include the email address associated with your subscription, the date of the charge, and a brief explanation of the basis for your request.
- We aim to respond within five business days.
Governing law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Nothing in this policy limits any statutory refund rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection law of your jurisdiction.
